Auto Answer

Auto-answer lets the first call leg auto-accept (click-to-dial) when a specific SIP header is present. This is conditional auto-answer, not unconditional. Flow when dialing from Odoo:
  1. Asterisk originates to user’s SIP channel.
  2. When auto-answered, Asterisk dials the destination; user hears progress tone immediately (one-click).
Configure per user in PBX → Users (set Auto Answer Header).

Phones supporting auto-answer headers

  • Zoiper (paid): Call-Info:<sip:>;answer-after=0 — enable “Accept server-side auto answer”.
  • MicroSIP: Call-Info: Auto Answer or Call-Info: answer-after=0 or X-AUTOANSWER: TRUE.
